There is a restlessness going on with many in the Body of Christ. Many have stepped out on the God call in this season. They said “yes”. Only to be met with battle after battle and warfare beyond what they could have comprehended. I saw people’s heart’s crying out “God-I could have taken the easy route. I could have taken the comfortable route. I said ‘yes’ even though it was the harder path. I continued in the assignment despite all of the resistance. Did I hear you wrong? Is this really the right path? I am so tired.”
Friends-I want to remind you today. Often the battle and the warfare is a sign that you are doing something RIGHT. When God was preparing Joshua and the Israelites to go and take the promised land, they had to face “giants” at destiny doors.
“Then they told him, and said: “We went to the land where you sent us. It truly flows with milk and honey, and this is its fruit. Nevertheless the people who dwell in the land are strong; the cities are fortified and very large; moreover we saw the descendants of Anak there. The Amalekites dwell in the land of the South; the Hittites, the Jebusites, and the Amorites dwell in the mountains; and the Canaanites dwell by the sea and along the banks of the Jordan.”Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, “Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it.”But the men who had gone up with him said, “We are not able to go up against the people, for they are stronger than we.”And they gave the children of Israel a bad report of the land which they had spied out, saying, “The land through which we have gone as spies is a land that devours its inhabitants, and all the people whom we saw in it are men of great stature. There we saw the giants (the descendants of Anak came from the giants); and we were like grasshoppers in our own sight, and so we were in their sight.” -Numbers 13: 27-33
God had to prepare them to “battle” in their personal lives in order to take territory. For some of you, when God first spoke the promise you weren’t expecting a battle. It has worn on you. The obstacles have been more than what you expected. But I want to remind you today: God never promised you that it would be easy-He said that it would be WORTH it.
For many of you, you DID hear from Him correctly. Every time you have conquered one of these “giants” in your personal life you have been taking territory. You have been learning. You have been growing. God has been strengthening you. The devil’s job is to get you so weary that you no longer want to continue the fight. That you will “settle” in the wilderness of your life. “Promised land” blessings will almost always bring you out of your comfort zone. But you were MADE for this. God has prepared you for these battles. You are an OVERCOMER.
Many of you are stepping out on things that have never been done before in your family line. You are pioneers. That’s why the resistance has been so strong. You are breaking addictions that have never been broken. You are launching ventures that have never been launched on this level. You are stepping out on God dreams that no one else has been willing to attempt. You are accomplishing things that have never been done before. That’s why the battle has been so strong. It’s because you are WINNING and are taking ground. There have been territorial spirits trying to come against your destiny. Because you are making an IMPACT.
Many have told God: “I don’t have the education to be doing this. I don’t have the experience to be doing this. I don’t have the qualifications to be stepping out on this.” But God is preparing you as you go. He is leading you one step at a time as you step out in faith towards your destiny. Remember: God qualifies the willing and the called.
Don’t give up now, ladies and gents! God has picked you for such a time as this and all that you have been walking through will not be in vain. God has been using this past season to prepare YOU for the promise. The giants may be trying to “taunt” you in this season, but remember that God has prepared you for such a time as this! The battle will not last forever and there is a HUGE reward on the other side. Awaken the warrior within and put on the full armor of God. Because the devil is terrified of what God has put on the inside of you. Keep pushing.
